The Word of God “is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” (2Timothy 3:16-17)
Scripture shows us what is right, when we are not right, how to get right, and how to stay right. It is sufficient for all our needs.
That’s the reason we enjoy distributing Bibles, whether they are hard copies or audio Bibles. Lives are illuminated and transformed. It is the only thing that truly has the power to change lives, and the change is always for the better. When we read the Scriptures, we see Christ. When the Word of God dwells in us richly, we become more and more like Him.
“For the Word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” (Hebrews 4:12) The Word is where we see the Gospel displayed in Jesus’ life, death, burial and glorious resurrection. As with Paul, we also are not ashamed of the Gospel, for it is the power of God unto salvation for everyone who believes. (Romans 1:16)
